Well behaved dogs are welcome, though we ask that they are kept on a lead so as not to disturb other guests. Please bring your dogs bed and ensure that any mess is cleaned up. Please be aware that for your dog to travel to France it will need a pet passport. These need to be arranged at least 3 months before travel and updated yearly. Your dog will also need to se a vet here 24 - 48 hours before being allowed to travel back to the UK. We can help make appointments at the vets for you. For more information see This article on pet passports. Please update yourselves on the regulations as the law is changing with effect from January 2012.

8. What do I need to bring to conform to French Driving legislation
The drivig legislation has changed in France in 2012. It is now compulsory to carry a breathalyser in the vehicle. This can either be a disposable type (in which case you must carry 2, or a digital/electronic type. These can be purchased inexpensively before you travel so you avoid high charges at the ports. If purchasing the disposable type check the expiry date.
You will also need 2 warning triangles and a high visibility jacket. Spare bulb kits are advisable. You will also need to ensure that your headlights conform and the simplest way (if your car lights don't adjust) is to use stick on beam benders.
All these items can be purchased inexpensively HERE from our Amazon store. Select Driving in Europe

9. How long does a yurt take to put up.
The small yurt takes 2 people approximately 3 hours to put up. The hardest part is extending the walls to the right size and centering the crown wheel so that each pole fits perfectly. Once this is done it's just a matter of putting on the layers and final cover.
The large yurt takes 2 people approximately 4 hours to put up. There are over 80 roof poles to insert, and centering the crown wheel is a lot harder. The yurts never go up exactly the same each year !
| small yurt. Walls are up and all poles in place . The wooden floor was then laid. |
The felt insulation layer is now on. This sits on top of a lightweight white cotton inner liner. |
The outer decorative and water proof cover is the final layer. Held in place by horse hair ropes. The crown wheel is topped by a removable cover. |
