| 6th - 13th August | We enjoyed it so much! I loved exploring in the forest, also going in the swimming pool. We had bonfires most nights and they were awesome! We made some friends and we ♥ Blaze. The beds in the yurt were really comfy, and I had lots of good night sleeps. I thought that roasting marshmallows was the best part out of everything. | 17th - 24th September | A great way to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary, with lots of exploring and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We have loved everything here. Our own little lake, the fires and star gazing - but particularly our visits to St Leonard de Noblat, bellac, mortemart, Amabazac, montrol Senard and walking around blond. we are leaving here feeling enriched and peaceful. Thweather has been fantastic for this late in the season. Massive thanks to Chris and Helen for a lovely week. A la prochain fois - Richard and Sarah

| 14 - 21 August 10 | This was our second visit to "Le Chene Vert" and we were somewhat worried that it would not live up to our first visit in that we might have exaggerated our view in our minds. Although on arrival we knew this was not the case. Simply idyllic, although there was not quite as much sunshine this year! Chris and Helen you are great hosts. Thank you. Pen and Jeff.. |

We had a fab time Helen and Chris. Thank you 4 your hospitality. The yurts were warm and cosy, the hamper was a bliss as we arrived so late the night before, and thank you for waiting up for us (4am!!) The kids loved the stay too. | 15 - 22 July 09 | The setting is absolutely brilliant, surrounded by trees with our own private lake which is enchanting with either the sun or the moon shinning on it. The"Ger" was great, romantic & warm. It was very hard getting out of bed in the morning and we found ourselves going to bed earlier each night just to light the candles and look through the crown wheel. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, except a corkscrew! but we fixed that. It was great preparing the food and eating outdoors. the welcome hamper was a really nice touch and much appreciated. It was a shame we couldn't get the box on the bike! Having bread, butter and pate meant that we could rest after our journey without going shopping till the next day. The courgette cake and homemade lemon curd was divine and a really nice friendly gesture to come back from the beach an find it had magically appeared. Loved getting in the pool each day as the weather was scorching. We would change nothing, though something to lie on down by the lake would be good. Don't want to share this place but would have great difficulty in keeping in quiet. My extended family would be at home here and we are definitely going to bring the children here next year. We ate in Le Florid which was very nice, but the Moulin at Margnac was exceptional and good value. The lac du St. Pardoux was a great day out and the kids would love it. 10/10 for facilities and cleanliness. We had a great time. |
| 15 - 21 July 09 | The yurt is beautiful and comfortable and we loved cooking in the open kitchen. The green space and trees are beautiful and provided both shelter and entertainment for the children. We appreciated the personal touches like eggs from your chickens and candles for the yurt. Many of the pots and pans have non-stick surfaces and I would change these for stainless steel. I would tell people that we enjoyed our stay and that Le Chene Vert is a great place for families groups to enjoy some time together while exploring the area. |
